For shifts posted with at least 48 hours notice, we have an industry-leading 97% success rate in filling positions. If a shift is posted within 24 hours of its start time, we still achieve an 80% fill rate.

Instead of sifting through resumes, we handle the vetting for you. Our team conducts detailed screenings with every candidate, ensuring only those who meet our criteria — approximately 60% — are approved to join our platform. This gives you access to top-quality professionals without reviewing individual resumes. And if you find a professional you're impressed with, you can hire them full-time for your practice at no extra cost.

Within your dashboard, you can view the profile picture and experience details of the professional you're matched with. On the day of the shift, their contact number becomes available for any immediate coordination. If you have specific questions about the professional you've been paired with, reach out to your dedicated account manager or use the chat feature in the lower left corner of your dashboard.

We encourage you to rate your experience after every shift. A 'thumbs up' adds that professional to your preferred pool for future shifts; a 'thumbs down' removes them from consideration for your future shifts. We also offer a 'Happiness Guarantee': if you're dissatisfied with a professional within the first four hours, you can send them home without being charged for their time, and we'll arrange a replacement.

To cancel a shift, go to the 'Shifts' tab in your dashboard and select 'View' for the shift you wish to cancel. For regular temp shifts, cancelling between 24–72 hours before the shift results in a $40 cancellation fee. Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice results in a full shift charge. Working interviews paid through Toothio have no four-hour minimum, scheduled-time guarantee, or cancellation fee. Any time already worked remains payable.

Yes. We take care of all administrative tasks, including paying the professionals directly, managing tax paperwork and liability, monitoring clock-in/out times, and performing one-on-one vetting of each professional.

Each practice account is assigned a dedicated Toothio account manager as your primary point of contact. You also have access to a Toothio support number — for immediate support, simply text it.

Toothio is pay-as-you-go. No contracts, no monthly fees, nothing to sign. You're charged an hourly or daily rate depending on shift type and state, so you only pay when you actually fill a shift.
